More than half of the people who live in Haiti live on less than $2 dollars a day and minimum wage, for those with jobs, is less than $2 per day. Despite living in the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere, the people of Haiti have a tremendous spirit of endurance, dignity, and hope. In order to help in a way that can be sustained, The Haitian Help Program Inc. was created.
The Haitian Help Program Inc. is the vision of its founder, Jean Joseph, who was born in Haiti and lives in the United States. He has been delivering humanitarian aid to Haiti since 2002, and with HHP’s volunteers and collaborating organizations, is committed to addressing the basic needs of impoverished and uneducated residents of Haiti whose plight was exacerbated by the earthquake of 2010. The Haitian Help Program Inc. works tirelessly to generate funds to support economically and ecologically disadvantaged Haitian families with financial assistance, education and employment opportunities.
